Setco Automotive U.K. Ltd is a subsidiary of the Indian Setco Automotive Ltd, a premier manufacturer of clutch products for the automotive and hydraulic products for the construction equipment industry. Headquartered in Mumbai, India, Setco has around 650 employees based in two manufacturing facilities in India, and one each in North America and the United Kingdom.
Based in Haslingden, Lancashire, Setco’s UK facility is fully integrated into the Setco group and operates manufacturing and warehouse facilities. In addition the company is also the R&D hub for Setco’s clutch products and technology provider to the group globally. With intensifying competition in the global automotive industry, improving team collaboration between the Setco sites and also between Setco and its customers, suppliers and joint venture partners was an imperative requirement to boost productivity. Modine Europe GmbH is a subsidiary of the US Modine Manufacturing Company, based in Racine, Wisconsin, one of the world‘s leading companies in thermal management technology.
Modine’s business operation has a European headquarters in Filderstadt-Bonlanden, Germany, which is integrated into Modine’s global network of development centers and plants. The exchange of product design data was a real challenge for Modine Europe because the existing system was no longer deemed to be fit for purpose.

LEONI is a global supplier of wires, cables and wiring systems. The group of companies, which is based in Germany, operates development centers, production facilities and sales offices in 30 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas.
At their development centre in Newcastle-under-Lyme, United Kingdom, as well as at other global locations, LEONI Wiring Systems U.K. Ltd. develops, manufactures and distributes cable harnesses and complete wiring systems for the European automotive industry.
LEONI discussed two challenges with Trubiquity:
- How to achieve secure data communication with its customer base?
- How to optimize collaboration between geographically dispersed project team members?
LEONI sought a solution to replace its in-house basic File Transfer Protocol (FTP) solution for the exchange of engineering data needed to support customer requests for quotations and live design projects. (…)
